First Body of Work

Developing a unique style.

After graduation from SCAD Julie took some time to figure out what she wanted her unique style to be within her oil paintings. From a desire to simplify and keep the subject the main focus she decided to focus on creating realistic equestrian works with painted white backgrounds, so that the focus would remain on the horse. With a nod to both modernism and classicism her work is very transitional and easily fits into different interior aesthetics.
